Purchaser

To manage the full spectrum of raw material procurement activities, including sourcing new suppliers, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and ensuring timely delivery confirmation.

1. Liaise with vendors for stock and non-stock purchases, monitor delivery status, and provide timely updates to the relevant departments.
2. Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring that specifications, pricing, quotations, and payment terms are accurate and in accordance with approved negotiations.
3. Review purchase requisitions and verify supplier selection and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.
4. Maintain accurate purchasing records by entering data into the SAP system and managing all related procurement documentation.
5. Manage and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL), ensuring supplier information is up to date.
6. Perform other duties and ad hoc assignments as directed by the immediate superior or management.

Requirement

1. Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree, or equivalent.
2. Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin speaker will be an advantage).
3. Preferably familiar with SAP system program.
4. At least 2 year (s) of working experience as a purchaser or similar role. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
5. Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
6. Ideally candidate with a well understanding of supply chain procedures.
