About the role

A Purchaser role responsible for processing purchase requirements, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating material logistics and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requirements provided by operations department and compare and choose among supplier base for best match
• Ensure on time delivery of materials from suppliers
• Prepare monthly forecast of total material requirements, making bulk purchase orders, and tracking of outstanding material balances from suppliers
• Handle import/export of 20/40ft container shipments by working with freight forwarders/logistics partners and providing timely documentation and information for customs clearance
• Ensure correctness, completeness, and traceability of documents by following company's filing and administrative procedures
• Source with new and existing vendors
• Provide understanding of products and answer phone calls to provide assistant sales admin support
• Handle other ad-hoc admin related duties

About you

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Self motivated with strong initiative, positive and hardworking
