About the role

This role is responsible for managing the purchasing process, delivery coordination, and material management for construction or engineering projects in compliance with ISO procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing process to secure the best deals and arrange delivery according to ISO procedures
• Check delivery status and arrange transport
• Communicate and arrange with Project Personnel on site for delivery of materials
• Perform daily checking on received delivery orders
• Follow up with suppliers on pending deliveries to project sites and offices, and update relevant parties on delivery schedules
• Prepare and submit Site Material Balance and other procurement-related reports
• Monitor bulk order materials for each ongoing project and stock levels
• Alert management when red flags or risks are detected while monitoring stock reports
• Receive, match and update Purchase Documents in compliance with ISO Standard Procedures
• Maintain proper filing to ensure documents are easily traceable

About you

• Professional experience in the construction or engineering field
• Resourceful with strong negotiation and communication skills
• High level of initiative and strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in Auto-count system is an added advantage
• Able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu; ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage
• Located at Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang
