About the role

This role involves managing daily purchasing and procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, obtaining competitive quotations, and coordinating material deliveries with project and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing and procurement activities
• Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations
• Compare prices, negotiate with suppliers and control purchasing costs
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO)
• Coordinate material deliveries with project and site teams
• Monitor outstanding orders and delivery schedules
• Verify DO, PO and supplier invoices
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Update purchasing transactions using SQL Accounting System
• Work closely with Operations, Project, QS and Accounts Departments

About you

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement
• Experience in construction, renovation, interior design or related industry is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with SQL Accounting System is preferred
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese/Mandarin
• Good knowledge of construction / building materials is an advantage
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Organized, proactive, responsible and able to work under pressure
• Able to manage multiple purchasing requirements and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
