Purchaser

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Purchaser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of construction materials, equipment, and services while ensuring cost efficiency and timely project support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure construction materials, tools, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to secure the best value.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, warehouse personnel, and suppliers regarding procurement requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment to avoid project delays.
• Track purchase orders and resolve issues related to shortages, delays, or damaged deliveries.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and cost reports.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in construction purchasing or procurement is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and supplier networks.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
