About the role

This role involves responsibility for negotiating with suppliers and sellers of assorted products and services that the factory needs, and sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers and sellers of assorted products and services
• Source suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses
• Work with internal departments to ensure purchase orders and requisitions are organized to order materials, goods and supplies
• Coordinate with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
• Authorize payments and manage purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping
• Ensure that invoices are sent to accounts for payment
• Oversee and manage inventory, ensuring efficient and accurate product purchases
• Coordinate with transportation and logistics personnel to ensure timely deliveries and shipments
• Analyse shipment logs and review timeliness of scheduled deliveries
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers

About you

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field
• 2 years of relevant purchasing experience
• Strong negotiation, data analysis, and communication skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
