About the role
Join PALMER SHIPPING SDN BHD as aPurchaser and be part of our team supporting the procurement needs of our maritime operations. Based in Miri, Sarawak, this full-time role involves sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, equipment, and services required for the company and its vessels.

What you'll be doing

1. Procure supplies, equipment, and spare parts required for vessels’ operation and maintenance.
2. Source vendors, obtain quotes, negotiate price and place orders in a timely manner.
3. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery
4. Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and expenditures.
5. Monitor inventory levels onboard vessels and liaise with crew to anticipate and meet their needs.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent with 3 years of working experience as Purchaser
2. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
3. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
4. Familiarity in Microsoft Office
5. Be adaptable and prepared to handle unforeseen situations as they arise.
