PURCHASER

• Sourcing and Research: Research market trends, evaluate vendor options, and request price quotes from multiple suppliers.
• Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, bulk discounts, payment schedules, and delivery timelines with suppliers.
• Ordering and Tracking: Generate purchase orders (POs), track inbound shipments, and confirm that deliveries match orders.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and collaborate with warehouse staff to align purchases with actual company needs.
• Problem Resolution: Handle delivery delays, damaged goods, or invoice discrepancies with vendors and the accounts team.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of purchases, pricing data, and vendor performance reports. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar supply chain role.
• Skills: Strong negotiation and communication abilities; analytical skills for cost comparison; and attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise resource planning (ERP) or procurement software (such as SAP).
