Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and credit terms to ensure the best value for the restaurant

• Execute and monitor purchase orders from inception to delivery, ensuring all items arrive on time and meet specified quality standards

• Collaborate with department heads to forecast demand, manage stock levels, and prevent both overstocking and critical shortages

• Conduct regular inspections of delivered goods; manage returns or claims for damaged or sub-standard items

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, invoices, and supplier performance metrics, ensuring compliance with local and national trade regulations

• Process supplier payment

• Assist the general manager as needed
