About the role

A Purchaser role responsible for managing procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services. The role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery, evaluating supplier performance, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and align procurement strategies
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Prepare and maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and price lists
• Monitor market trends and identify potential risks or opportunities

Requirement

• 5–7 years of proven track record in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles preferably in a senior role
• Diplomas or advanced courses in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be from Precision Engineering or Manufacturing field
