You are comfortable managing administrative tasks, coordinating suppliers, supporting compliance requirements and stepping in to assist operational teams when required.

You are someone who takes pride in your work, has exceptional attention to detail and thrives in an environment supporting kitchens. You enjoy building strong relationships, solving problems before they arise and finding ways to improve systems and processes.

A natural communicator, with strong Microsoft office skills - this will not be your first office-based role.

THE POSITION

Gastronomy is seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchasing Administrator to support our Head Office and site operations. This varied role combines procurement, administration, supplier liaison, sourcing, supplier relationship management, invoice processing and operational support within a premium hospitality environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the key point of contact for suppliers while ensuring purchasing, invoicing, stock control and food safety compliance are effectively coordinated across the business.

MINIMUM CRITERIA TO APPLY

• Minimum 3 years' experience in corporate hospitality, premium catering, events or a 5-star hotel environment
• Experience in purchasing, administration or inventory management
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• High-level Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Xero or similar accounting systems
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong understanding of food safety requirements
• Current RSA certification
