Purchasing Agent

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services required to support our operations. This position is available to fill a current vacancy within our purchasing department, and you'll be joining an experienced and collaborative group that plays a critical role in supporting production and customer commitments. Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure materials, components, and supplies necessary for manufacturing operations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment and avoid production delays.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to align purchasing strategies with project timelines.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Process purchase orders, maintain accurate records, and track delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in procurement or purchasing (experience in the agriculture or manufacturing industry is a strong asset).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software (experience with Quickbooks is an asset)
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment or manufacturing processes is a plus.
