Salary Range: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00

Job Description: Premier printing and marketing company in MA is searching to hire an experienced Purchasing Agent. Responsibilities include: Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies for the company, nationwide; assess, manage and mitigate risks. Search for cost-effective purchases and develop new supply base relationships. Purchase paper, inks and supplies needed for print production with the focus on commercial print paper buying. Work within the print schedule to ensure products are available to meet production deadlines. Research material sourcing opportunities and analyze alternate purchasing options for existing materials or substitute items Work with vendors on pricing and lead times. Update and maintain spreadsheets and tracking information. Inventory management. Qualifications include: Minimum 3-5 years of commercial print paper buying experience. Good overall knowledge and understanding of a variety of paper grades, weights and finishes. Commercial print estimating experience a plus. Proven negotiation skills and successful track record of achieving cost out initiatives. Strong attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and communication skills. Proficient on MS Excel is required. Able to think outside the box if substitutions are necessary. Excellent opportunity to work for privately owned company in growth mode.
