Purchasing Analyst

Position Summary

Summit Homes, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Purchasing Team located in Kansas City. This position will assist the procurement and operation initiatives with our Purchasing team. We are seeking a collaborative professional who thrives on opportunities to facilitate business solutions and achieve quality metrics.

Key Responsibilities

· Support daily operations related to process efficiencies, product alignment, and change management.

· Eagerness to learn about purchasing and homebuilding industry.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

· Maintain Trade Partner pricing records and facilitate approved changes.

· Assist in quantity takeoff validation and consolidated summary documents.

· Review production release data for inconsistencies or anomalies

· Contractual compliance and continuance with trade partner contracts, scopes of work, insurance and training.

· Work closely with other teams for cross departmental initiatives and backfill workflow needs.

Qualifications

· Excellent process management and organization skills.

· Open communication and collaboration skills.

· Strong computer and analytical skills.

· High School Diploma.

· BS/BA in Construction, Project Manager, Business, or relevant field preferred, but not required.

· Experience in Residential Construction preferred but not required.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Teams) or other related applications preferred
