Purchasing & Import Officer

About the role

This is a Purchasing position in a manufacturing company responsible for supplier management, procurement processes, and ensuring materials and packaging are sourced according to specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Search for and select suppliers of raw materials and packaging
• Negotiate prices and payment terms with suppliers
• Confirm orders, create and print Purchase Orders, and send them to suppliers/vendors to ensure purchasing processes run according to procedures, schedules, and desired specifications
• Review and prepare monthly reports on purchases, outstanding POs, and analysis of raw material/packaging delivery timeliness
• Coordinate with QC department on product specification compliance, Warehouse department on delivery/receipt timing, and PPIC department in receiving and reviewing purchase request letters

About you

• Bachelor's degree (S1), preferably in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Purchasing in a manufacturing company
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• English language proficiency (spoken and written)
• Mandarin language proficiency (spoken and written)
• Understanding and application of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
• Experienced working with targets, deadlines, and budgets
