Purchasing Assistant

About the role

Vida Nutriscience Inc is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team in a full-time capacity. Based in Bahay Toro, Quezon City, Metro Manila, this role is fundamental to our supply chain operations. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will support our procurement team in managing purchasing activities, vendor relationships, and inventory coordination. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in procurement and logistics within the manufacturing and nutrition sector, contributing directly to the efficient operation of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate purchasing documentation and records
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations, pricing information and product specifications
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in identifying purchasing requirements based on operational needs
• Support the preparation of purchase requisitions and ensure compliance with company procurement policies
• Maintain and update supplier databases and contact information
• Track shipments and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery
• Assist in receiving and inspecting delivered goods against purchase orders
• Prepare and compile purchasing reports and performance metrics
• Support vendor negotiations and assist in maintaining positive supplier relationships
• Liaise between internal departments and external suppliers to resolve purchasing issues
