Purchasing Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain and update purchasing records, price lists, and supplier information.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify purchasing needs to avoid stock shortages.
• Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, discrepancies, or damaged goods.
• Coordinate with the receiving team to verify the quality and quantity of delivered items.
• Conduct price comparisons and market research to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Generate reports on purchasing activities and expenses for management review.

Other Duties:

• Support the Purchasing Manager in special projects and supplier assessments.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement guidelines and external regulations.
• Liaise with other departments to address purchasing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of any four (4) year Business-Related Course, or at least college level with relevant work experience.

• Experience: At least six (6) months as an Assistant Receiving Staff, Office Staff, or similar role.

Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
