Purchasing Assistant

About the role

Purchasing Staff responsible for sourcing fresh ingredients, dry goods, and kitchen equipment from reliable restaurant suppliers, conducting inventory control through daily or weekly physical stock counts, inspecting incoming food deliveries for quality and compliance, arranging and coordinating delivery of food supplies to various mall branches, and monitoring market price fluctuations to update food cost sheets.

Key responsibilities

• Source fresh ingredients, dry goods, and kitchen equipment from reliable restaurant suppliers
• Conduct daily or weekly physical stock counts to track inventory turnover and prevent spoilage
• Inspect incoming food deliveries for quality, expiration dates, and temperature compliance
• Arrange, schedule, and coordinate the delivery of food supplies and materials directly to various mall branches
• Monitor market price fluctuations for ingredients and update food cost sheets accordingly

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Hospitality Management (HRM), or any business-related field
• Strong coordination and scheduling abilities, negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel
• Skilled in various software applications especially Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter, adaptive with good communication skills
• Prior internship experience in a restaurant, hotel, warehouse, or logistics environment is a major plus
