Purchasing Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist Purchasing Supervisor/Manager in daily purchasing activities.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO), Purchase Requisitions (PR), and related purchasing documents.
• Liaise with suppliers and follow up on orders and delivery schedules.
• Monitor material and stock requirements and coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure timely supply.
• Follow up on pending and overdue deliveries and update the relevant departments accordingly.
• Maintain proper purchasing records, supplier information, quotations, and purchase documentation.
• Assist in checking supplier invoices, delivery orders, and purchase orders for accuracy.
• Assist the Purchasing Supervisor/Manager in supplier coordination and performance follow-up.
• Support cost comparison, negotiation, and sourcing activities when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/management.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field
• Mandarin-speaking candidate preferred
• Relevant purchasing/procurement experience is an advantage
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Able to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
• Responsible, organised and able to work independently
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage
