Purchasing Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing and procurement activities. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing suppliers, requesting quotations, preparing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining accurate purchasing records, including warehouse and inventory related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and identifying suppliers for company requirements.
• Request and compare supplier quotations, prices, and payment terms.
• Prepare purchase orders and other purchasing-related documents.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding orders, availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor and follow up on pending purchase orders and deliveries.
• Ensure that purchased items are delivered correctly, completely, and on time.
• Maintain organized records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
• Coordinate with warehouse, accounting, and other departments regarding purchasing requirements.
• Assist in checking deliveries and ensuring that items received match the purchase order.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative work is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Honest, dependable, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Valid driver's license is preferred.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles is an advantage.
