Purchasing Assistant / Purchasing Executive

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00AM – 5.00PM

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant / Purchasing Executive to support daily purchasing operations, supplier coordination, and inventory planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily purchasing activities including sourcing materials, price negotiation, and supplier coordination
• Handle import purchasing and monitor overseas purchase arrangements
• Generate purchase orders and ensure purchased materials meet required specifications
• Follow up on delivery schedules and ensure timely delivery from suppliers
• Conduct price comparison and review activities for purchased goods
• Monitor inventory levels and delivery status to ensure smooth operations
• Work closely with internal departments and external suppliers regarding purchasing matters
• Provide coordination and administrative support to the sales team
• Prepare purchasing-related documentation and correspondence
• Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Degree in any field

• Prior purchasing or procurement experience is an added advantage

• Experience in manufacturing or steel industry will be an advantage

• Good communication and negotiation skills

• Computer literate and comfortable handling documentation

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Possess own transport

• Able to start work immediately is preferred
