Purchasing Associate

Job Summary

The Purchasing Associate – is responsible for sourcing, procurement, and monitoring of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary (MEPFS) materials and services for construction and property-related projects. The role ensures timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with company policies, approved specifications, budgets, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all MEPFS-related material requisitions for Torre Lorenzo and its affiliated companies.
• Review and monitor purchase requisitions to ensure completeness, proper approvals, and compliance with material control and project budgets.
• Coordinate with requesting departments, contractors, designers, project managers, and building managers to clarify technical specifications and procurement requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with qualified suppliers, contractors, and service providers to obtain the best value in terms of price, quality, delivery schedule, and payment terms.
• Prepare and maintain comparative quotation/tabulation sheets for supplier evaluation and recommendation.
• Conduct preliminary negotiations with suppliers and bidders regarding pricing, specifications, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (POs), facilitate approval and authorization, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor deliveries to ensure purchased items meet approved specifications, quantities, and required delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with warehouse, project site personnel, and end-users regarding receipt and verification of delivered materials.
• Maintain an updated database of suppliers, pricing, and procurement records for future reference and cost analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned from time to time in support of project and operational requirements.
