About the role

PT Mirah Global Investment is seeking a skilled Purchasing professional to join our construction project management team on a contract basis. Based in Badung, Bali, this role is integral to ensuring the efficient procurement of materials, equipment, and services that support our construction projects. As a key member of our supply chain function, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and maintaining cost-effectiveness across all purchasing activities. This position plays a vital strategic role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers and vendors that meet company standards for quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness
• Sourcing and procuring construction materials, equipment, plant and services required for project delivery
• Negotiating contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications, quantities and delivery requirements are clearly communicated
• Managing purchase orders through to delivery, monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues or discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate records of purchases, invoices, receipts and supplier documentation
• Liaising with project managers and site teams to understand material and equipment requirements and delivery schedules
• Conducting market research to identify new suppliers, products and opportunities for cost savings
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procurement procedures and relevant regulations
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing efficiency and effectiveness

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the construction or engineering industry
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment and vendors commonly used in building and infrastructure projects
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
• Proficiency in using procurement systems, supplier databases and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders and suppliers simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers, project managers and internal stakeholders
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Understanding of project management principles and how procurement supports project delivery
• Fluency in English; Indonesian language skills are advantageous
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
