About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing professional to join Made's Warung (Bali) in a full-time capacity based in Seminyak. This is a critical operational role that will be fundamental to the success of our business. As our Purchasing specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing all materials, supplies, and ingredients required for our operations. You will work closely with kitchen staff, management, and external suppliers to ensure we maintain consistent quality whilst achieving optimal cost efficiency. Your strategic sourcing decisions will directly impact our profitability, operational efficiency, and the quality of our customer experience.

What you'll be doing

• Identifying, evaluating, and maintaining relationships with reliable suppliers for food ingredients, beverages, kitchen equipment, and operational supplies
• Negotiating contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions to secure the best value whilst maintaining quality standards
• Preparing and managing purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules
• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with kitchen and management teams to forecast material requirements
• Conducting regular market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers
• Inspecting incoming deliveries to verify quality, quantity, and condition of purchased items
• Maintaining detailed records of all transactions, supplier performance, and purchasing activities
• Resolving supplier issues, including quality complaints and delivery delays
• Implementing and maintaining efficient procurement processes and systems
• Supporting budget planning and cost control initiatives across the business

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the hospitality, food and beverage, or manufacturing sectors
• Strong knowledge of supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and inventory management practices
• Excellent understanding of quality assurance standards, particularly in food supply chains
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple suppliers and maintain professional business relationships
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Solid numeracy and analytical skills to manage budgets and evaluate cost-benefit scenarios
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian or other local languages is advantageous
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a busy hospitality environment
• Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is preferred but not essential
