About the role

A purchasing role responsible for managing procurement activities, including verification of purchase orders, delivery orders, invoices, and goods received notes. The role involves obtaining quotations from multiple suppliers, comparing pricing, quality, delivery timelines, and payment terms, and negotiating to secure the best rates and conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Verify PO, Delivery Order (DO), Invoice and Goods Received Note (GRN) are accurate and aligned with supplier documentation
• Ensure purchases comply with budget and company policy
• Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers
• Compare pricing, quality, delivery timelines and payment terms
• Negotiate to obtain the best pricing and terms
• Ensure goods are received according to schedule
• Resolve issues related to delays or goods that do not meet specifications
• Evaluate supplier performance in terms of pricing, quality and delivery accuracy
• Source new suppliers as required
• Prepare monthly purchasing reports and cost analysis and savings

About you

• Minimum certificate, diploma or degree in a related field
• At least 1 year of work experience in purchasing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of supply chain
• Good written and verbal language proficiency to meet business requirements
• Previous experience in related work is preferred
• Immediate entry required
