About the role

Purchasing Staff responsible for managing the procurement process of materials and operational needs for construction projects. The role involves sourcing and evaluating suppliers, comparing quotations, negotiating terms, and ensuring materials meet project specifications and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct the purchasing process for materials and project operational needs
• Search for and evaluate suitable suppliers and vendors
• Request and compare quotations from multiple vendors
• Negotiate pricing, quality, specifications, and delivery timelines
• Create and process Purchase Orders (PO)
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project, Warehouse, and Finance teams
• Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and requirements
• Monitor material delivery schedules to prevent project delays
• Manage purchasing documentation and filing
• Help control and optimise project procurement costs

Qualifications

• Minimum D3/S1 education, preferably in Engineering, Management, or related fields
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement, particularly in construction or project industries
• Understanding of material procurement processes, equipment, tools, and project requirements
• Experience in purchasing for MEP, Electrical, HVAC, or Construction projects preferred
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and vendors
• Ability to compare prices, negotiate, and evaluate vendors
• Knowledge of Purchase Request (PR), Purchase Order (PO), quotation, and delivery schedule processes
• Attention to detail in controlling specifications, quantity, pricing, and material delivery times
• Ability to work towards targets and meet material requirements according to project schedules
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Honest, detail-oriented, responsible, and strong problem-solving abilities
• Willing to work at Cikarang/Project Site
