About the role

Legends Bistro Bar & Sports is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Purchasing Professional to join our dynamic team in Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our supply chain operations and ensuring the seamless delivery of quality products to support our hospitality operations. As the Purchasing lead, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships whilst maintaining cost efficiency and inventory standards. This role is integral to our operational success and directly impacts our ability to deliver exceptional service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select reliable suppliers for food, beverages, and operational supplies
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money
• Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to ensure adequate stock availability
• Track and reconcile supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts
• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of all purchasing transactions
• Communicate effectively with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and address concerns
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards
• Ensure compliance with company policies and established procurement procedures
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing and prospective suppliers

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within the hospitality, food and beverage, or retail sectors
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to achieve favourable terms with suppliers
• Proficiency with purchasing software, spreadsheet applications and basic data analysis
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices and inventory management principles
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving efficiency
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic hospitality environment
• Familiarity with the Bali business and supplier landscape would be advantageous
