About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Purchasing professional to join our team in Mueang Samut Prakan, Samut Prakan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our supply chain operations. As a Purchasing professional, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring materials, goods and services that are essential to our manufacturing and logistics operations. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as it directly impacts our operational efficiency, cost management and overall business performance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure we maintain optimal inventory levels whilst achieving our procurement objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers to ensure quality, reliability and competitive pricing
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favourable conditions
• Placing purchase orders and managing the procurement process from requisition to delivery
• Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining strong vendor relationships
• Conducting market research to identify procurement opportunities and industry trends
• Coordinating with warehouse and inventory management teams to ensure adequate stock levels
• Managing procurement budgets and ensuring compliance with financial policies
• Resolving procurement-related issues, including delivery delays and quality concerns
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all purchasing transactions
• Collaborating with production and operations teams to understand material requirements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or a related supply chain role within the manufacturing or logistics sector
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
• Proficiency in procurement systems and inventory management software
• Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation and contract management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices and cost management techniques
• Experience with international procurement and logistics is advantageous
