ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

● Generally accountable for sourcing, negotiation of buying price, and evaluation of vendors and contracts

● Ensures 100% service level and compliance of vendors to agreed product specifications

● Must consistently review existing goods and vendor performance to maintain; research new items for best price and vendors

● Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment

● Responsible for timing of delivery and inventory management

● Able to report commodity trends and purchasing plans to management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

● Extensive level understanding of assigned commodities and understanding of market trends

● Solid negotiation, process and contract administration skills, including the ability to effectively manage program cost requirements and relationships with suppliers in order to support company goals

● Must possess strong problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with internal and external partners

● Advance organisation skills are required in order to handle multiple tasks

● Relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals

● Merchandising experience is an advantage

● Minimum of 3-5 years of buying/procurement experience is required

● Bachelor's degree is required
