We are a lean, technically driven team where this role has real ownership and direct visibility to sales and leadership.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to own the flow of product from our domestic and overseas suppliers into our inventory and out to our customers. You will place and manage purchase orders, coordinate international container shipments and freight, track inventory, and keep our sales team continuously informed on inbound product. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable working across time zones and currencies.
Key Responsibilities

- Communicate with overseas suppliers clearly and patiently, accounting for time-zone and language differences
- Support supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, and lead time
Logistics & Import
- Solicit and compare quotes from international freight forwarders and carriers (ocean and air)
- Coordinate container shipments, including booking, documentation, and delivery scheduling
- Track shipments in transit and proactively flag delays
- Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers on import documentation, Incoterms, HS classification, and duties/tariffs
- Reconcile freight invoices against quotes
Inventory
- Track inventory levels and reorder points; help maintain healthy stock without overbuying
- Reconcile received product against POs and packing lists
- Maintain accurate records in our ERP / inventory system
Sales Coordination
- Provide the sales team with regular, accurate updates on inbound product, container ETAs, and stock availability
- Serve as the internal point of contact for "when is it landing?" questions
- Help the team commit confidently to customer delivery dates
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain coordination
- Direct experience purchasing from or coordinating shipments with overseas suppliers (Asia strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of international freight: ocean/air shipping, Incoterms (EXW, FOB, etc.), and basic import/customs concepts
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) and comfort with ERP/inventory systems
- Excellent written communication and organization; able to juggle many open orders without dropping details
- Clear, professional communication with non-native English-speaking suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics, electrical, or hardware manufacturing/distribution
- Familiarity with HS code classification, tariffs, and lithium-battery shipping regulations (UN3481 / PI 967)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (equivalent experience accepted)
- Experience supporting a sales team with inbound/inventory updates
