Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary

Saffron Urban Indian Kitchen is looking for an organized and dependable Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing, inventory, supplier communication, and daily restaurant supply operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of food, beverages, ingredients, and restaurant supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify items that need to be reordered.
• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding orders and deliveries.
• Compare pricing and help identify cost-effective purchasing options.
• Track deliveries, invoices, and purchasing records.
• Inspect incoming products for quality, quantity, and accuracy.
• Maintain organized vendor and purchasing information.
• Coordinate with kitchen and management teams regarding supply needs.
• Help prevent shortages and unnecessary inventory costs.
• Assist with inventory counts and monthly purchasing reports.
• Follow restaurant food-safety and purchasing procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing, inventory, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of purchase orders and inventory management.
• Good computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Restaurant or food-service purchasing experience is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
