Purchasing Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all sourcing and purchasing activities

· Plan and implement yearly commodity strategy to achieve company cost savings target

· Coordinate and execute purchasing activities for local and overseas suppliers

· Manage supplier relationships, development, performance and evaluation

· Support continuous improvement activities

· Lead supplier APQP activities and change management

· Good ethics in purchasing and comply with purchasing policies and procedures

· Work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers

· Assist any other duties assigned from time to time by the superior and management when needed

Requirements:

· Degree in Engineering (Materials/ Mechanical/ Chemical/ Electrical)

  Candidates without an Engineering degree but relevant experience will be considered;

· Minimum 1 year experience in purchasing preferable in the manufacturing environment or technical purchasing; Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply;

· Knowledge in purchasing processes such as supplier audit, supplier APQP, and costing; and

· Good interpersonal, negotiation and strong analytical problem-solving skill.
