Purchasing Executive

About the role

The Purchasing Executive reports to the Head of Department and is responsible for sourcing and negotiating for the best prices to match or lower than budgetary prices, managing purchase requisitions and orders, and supporting various departments with procurement-related inquiries and quality issues.

Key responsibilities

• Source and negotiate for the best prices to match or lower than budgetary prices
• Follow up and handle inquiries from Estimation, Project, Store and other related departments
• Prepare monthly reports as per ISO or other department and management requirements
• Keep and maintain an updated Material Pricing List regularly
• Assist Superior on monitoring overseas purchases
• Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company procedures and approval requirements
• Assist other departments to handle and solve quality problems when needed
• Monitor and conduct surveillance of the effectiveness of the HSE system at the workplace
• Supervise the implementation of HSE system at the workplace and correct workers in any violation of HSE rules and procedures
• Undertake other related jobs directed and assigned by superiors from time to time

About you

• Possess at least Diploma/Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferably in Procurement/Logistics
• At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience in this position
• Possess good communication and negotiation skills
• Independent and able to work with minimum supervision
