Purchasing Executive

About the role

NSEC is looking for an experienced and proactive purchasing executive to strengthen our supply chain and support our production growth.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the sourcing and purchasing of production materials, cutting tools, consumables, spare parts, subcontract services and other operational requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
• Issue and monitor Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery and prevent production disruptions.
• Source, evaluate and develop reliable and competitive suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, pricing and responsiveness.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality and other relevant departments to support operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare relevant purchasing reports when required.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and purchasing efficiency.

About you

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Experience in purchasing engineering materials, machining tools, and manufacturing consumables is an advantage.
• Understanding of inventory management and MRP/ERP systems.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
