Purchasing Executive

About the role

To assist in carrying out purchasing activities for both local and overseas spare parts, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement in compliance with company standards and ISO requirements. The role supports the Purchasing Manager in coordinating supplier communication, import matters, and ensuring smooth material flow to support factory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Generate Purchase Order for all spare parts including shovel for both factories, and local parts for Maintenance, Engineering, Electrical in Keluli Factory
• Source, negotiate for better pricing and terms for overseas spare parts including shovel, and local parts for Maintenance, Engineering, Electrical, and Keluli factory
• Consistently monitor and follow up delivery after issued PO
• Monitor inventory and usage of overseas parts
• Liaise with customs and agents for overseas parts import
• Verify and timely submission of invoices to accounts department for processing payment
• Timely update the purchasing database as required
• Maintain supplier database for complying with ISO requirement
• Handle Keluli factory building construction and maintenance work together with Facility Team

About you

• Diploma or equivalent qualification with at least 1 year of relevant working experience
• Computer literate and bilingual (able to communicate effectively in at least two languages)
• Basic knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain operations
• Understanding of spare parts procurement for engineering, maintenance, and electrical applications
• Familiar with import documentation and coordination with customs and forwarding agents
• Knowledge of supplier record management and ISO documentation requirements
• Basic understanding of building maintenance and construction material requisitions
