PURCHASING EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities and Authorities

• Handle both Indirect & Direct material purchased.
• Responsible for buying and expediting, inventory control.
• Sourcing new and review existing goods to ensure goods remain competitive.
• Sourcing for new supplier/vendor, brands and cost optimization.
• Responsible for sourcing material & tools.
• Liaison with existing supplier/vendor, negotiating prices and delivery.
• Preparing purchase orders, expedite orders and delivery.
• Maintaining supplier/vendor records.
• Maintaining accurate materials report.
• Liaison with other departments as necessary to forecast, plan to meet, and to supply demand to relevant quality.
• Payment terms and lead time negotiation, Purchase Order administration.
• Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
• To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Candidate must possess at least Higher Secondary/ STPM/ "A" Level/ Pre-U, Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/ Administration/ Management or equivalent.
• Min 2 years of working experience with preferably with working experience in purchasing.
• Strong negotiation skills with excellent supply chain capabilities.
• Resourceful, organized and able to work independently.
• Familiar with ERP systems and Purchase Order administration processes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a positive team-player attitude.
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
