Responsibilities

• Perform materials planning and purchasing activities to meet sales and customer demands.
• Monitor and review inventory levels and stocking policies to ensure product availability while minimising excess stock.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers in accordance with established inventory policies.
• Ensure purchase order accuracy and follow up with suppliers on order confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange and monitor local and overseas shipments.
• Track deliveries and resolve delays or issues relating to undelivered goods.
• Prepare import and shipment documentation, including checklists, to support warehouse receiving and inspection processes.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues involving damaged goods, shortages or discrepancies against specifications.
• Coordinate the delivery and distribution of materials to support operational requirements and meet production schedules.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of silencers and common stock parts to meet customer demands.
• Generate reports from the SAP system to support inventory analysis and purchasing decisions.
• Create and maintain item master data in SAP.
• Maintain and update purchasing records, reports, price lists and related documentation.
• Plan shipment consolidation to optimise logistics arrangements and reduce shipping costs.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Department to ensure timely supplier payments.

Requirements

• Min Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, materials planning, inventory control or supply chain operations.
• Experience using ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data reporting.
