Purchasing Expediter Engineer

About the role

This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting material deliveries to support production and project schedules. This role works closely with suppliers, buyers, production planning, and logistics teams to ensure materials are delivered on time, shipment arrangements are completed efficiently, and supply chain disruptions are minimized. The successful candidate will proactively follow up on purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery issues, and maintain accurate delivery information in the system.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control material and component deliveries to meet production requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery according to purchase order requirements.
• Expedite supplier production and deliveries for urgent or critical requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and project teams to resolve delivery issues and mitigate risks.
• Track open purchase orders and maintain accurate delivery status in the system.
• Coordinate shipping arrangements and required logistics documentation.
• Work closely with Production Planning to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedules.
• Provide early warning of potential delays and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Planning, Supply Chain, Project Coordination, or a related field.
• Experience in supplier coordination, order management, sourcing, and delivery follow-up.
• Strong understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
