Purchasing (Import Purchase)

About the role

Order and facilitate the import of goods according to company requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan product purchases by receiving sales plans or customer requirements from sales and marketing departments, checking current stock levels, and identifying market opportunities
• Source potential sellers whose products match the purchasing plan, verify actual production facilities for sensitive goods, and test products before purchase
• Negotiate prices, compare quotes, arrange delivery, and assess quality to select appropriate products and suppliers
• Open purchase orders and verify product invoices
• Notify the finance department for payment processing
• Coordinate shipping to prepare for product import and check preliminary import documents
• Coordinate with quality assurance on product labeling and with warehouse department on storage preparation
• Monitor product delivery and handle product claims by cooperating with quality assurance and coordinating with sellers on issues and resolutions
• Conduct supplier evaluations and prepare monthly performance reports
• Travel to verify product quality at production facilities before shipment and coordinate with external agencies (SGS) for quality inspections

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• 1-3 years of work experience
• Good English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Proficient in basic computer programs and internet
• Good interpersonal skills and negotiation abilities
• Strong sense of responsibility
