PURCHASING INTERNATIONAL

About the role

Manage international purchasing activities, particularly sourcing materials, packaging, machinery, spare parts, and other goods from overseas suppliers. Search, identify, evaluate, and develop reliable international suppliers, especially suppliers from China. Communicate and negotiate with suppliers in Mandarin and English, including price, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, specifications, and delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) to international suppliers
• Monitor the purchasing process from quotation, order confirmation, production, shipment, customs clearance, until goods arrive at the company
• Request and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to obtain the best price, quality, and delivery terms
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding product specifications, samples, quality requirements, and corrective actions
• Coordinate with Finance, Warehouse, Production, R&D, QA/QC, and Logistics regarding international purchasing requirements
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing requirements to ensure material availability and prevent production interruptions
• Manage purchasing documents such as quotation, PO, invoice, packing list, commercial invoice, shipping documents, and other import-related documents
• Monitor supplier performance, including quality, price, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance
• Conduct regular supplier evaluation and maintain an updated international supplier database
• Handle supplier complaints, discrepancies, delays, shortages, damaged goods, and other purchasing issues

About you

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Management, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably international purchasing
• Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers is highly preferred
• Fluent Mandarin, both written and spoken
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiar with international purchasing and import processes
• Familiar with purchasing documents and international trade terminology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
