Purchasing Manager - Based in PRC

Roles & responsibilities:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that improve cost efficiency, supplier performance and supply continuity.
• Oversee the purchasing process for raw materials, components, and supplies necessary for production.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to meet production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
• Resolve any issues related to supplier performance, delivery, or quality.
• Implement inventory management practices to reduce excess stock and minimize waste.
• Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market trends for senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Preference will be given to those with exposure in toys manufacturing.
• With excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Good command of spoken & written English and Cantonese, knowledge of Putonghua will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Chinese Word Processing and ERP.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Stationed in Shaoguan, PRC.
