Purchasing Manager

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and Store & Receiving operations, ensuring timely procurement, competitive pricing, quality, and efficient inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities, particularly F&B supplies, equipment, and services.
• Source reliable suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure best value.
• Ensure timely delivery, quality, and correct quantities of goods purchased.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve purchasing or delivery issues.
• Supervise Store & Receiving operations and support effective inventory control.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and minimize wastage.
• Ensure compliance with relevant purchasing, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

About you

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, and Store Control, preferably in the F&B, hotel, hospitality, or club industry.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing, supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, and inventory control.
• Good understanding of F&B and perishable food purchasing.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous, resourceful, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with purchasing or inventory management systems will be an advantage.
