Purchasing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager with strong expertise in Food & Beverage (F&B) procurement and supply chain management. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sourcing, vendor management, cost control, and inventory planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

• Oversee the purchasing of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and other supplies.
• Ensure the availability of necessary inventory while preventing overstocking or stockouts.
• Monitor and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.

Vendor Relations:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to optimize purchasing costs.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Inventory Control:

• Coordinate with the operations team to maintain proper inventory levels and order frequencies.
• Implement inventory tracking systems to minimize waste and overstock.
• Regularly review stock levels and lead times to anticipate future purchasing needs.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Work within allocated budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies.
• Monitor and manage purchasing expenses to maintain financial goals.
• Develop strategies for cost-saving without compromising quality.

Supply Chain Coordination:

• Collaborate with the logistics and operations team to streamline the supply chain process.
• Work to resolve any supply chain issues that may arise, including delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies.
• Forecast purchasing needs based on production schedules and market trends.

Compliance & Sustainability:

• Ensure that all purchased goods meet the company standards for quality and ethical sourcing.
• Stay updated on industry trends, including sustainability initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and contracts.
• Analyze purchasing data to improve procurement strategies and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Must have a knowledge and experience in using SAP Business One/SAP B1
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge or interest in the coffee industry and sustainability is a plus.

Note: Compensation is competitive and will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
