Purchasing Manager

About the role

Responsible for managing the hotel's purchasing activities and ensuring the timely procurement of quality goods and services at competitive prices. The Purchasing Manager works closely with all departments and suppliers to ensure purchasing is carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Purchasing Department
• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability
• Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
• Review and approve Purchase Orders in accordance with the hotel's purchasing procedures and approval limits
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and follow up on outstanding orders
• Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable agreements
• Work closely with Finance, Receiving, Stores, F&B, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments to meet operational requirements
• Ensure all purchases meet the required specifications and quality standards
• Monitor supplier performance and address any delivery, quality, or pricing issues
