About the role

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods, materials, and services needed for business operations. The role involves supplier management, contract negotiation, inventory monitoring, and ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support operational needs.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Review and approve purchase requests, purchase orders, and procurement contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast purchasing requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the procurement function.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare procurement reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budget requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Lead and supervise purchasing personnel, if applicable.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier evaluation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and procurement systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
