Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities

• Strategic Procurement & Optimization: Formulate and execute overall procurement strategies, material planning, and end-to-end supply chain optimization to support business expansion and operational efficiency.
• Cost Governance & Commercial Negotiation: Drive cost-down initiatives, monitor procurement budgets, and lead high-value contract and price negotiations with key partners and suppliers.
• Vendor Management & Risk Governance: Establish and oversee vendor evaluation frameworks (including ESG and performance audits), mitigate supply chain disruption risks, and cultivate long-term strategic supplier relationships.
• Team Leadership & Workflow Transformation: Lead and mentor the purchasing team, optimize SOPs, and drive digital procurement transformation.
• Cross-Border Operations: Oversee regional sourcing pipelines with occasional business travel to Mainland China for site visits, factory audits, and supplier joint reviews.

Requirements

• At least 8 years’ solid procurement experience in Construction, including 3+ years in a team-leading role.
• Strong background in metal/steel procurement is a definite advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier contract negotiation, and material budget management.
• Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder management skills to interface effectively with senior management, cross-functional leads, and external partners.
• Hands-on proficiency in systems and digital procurement reporting.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
• Candidates with less experience or lower qualifications will be considered for Assistant Purchasing Manager.
