Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada. This role is responsible for managing procurement activities for the organization, including sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. The Purchasing Manager will create and maintain supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock. Daily tasks include preparing purchase orders, coordinating with internal teams to understand requirements, tracking deliveries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also involves analyzing purchasing data, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and contributing to process improvements in the supply chain and procurement function.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in procurement and purchasing operations, including vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Experience with inventory control, demand planning, and cost analysis to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Proficiency in using procurement or ERP software and basic office productivity tools to manage orders, data, and reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain management role, ideally within services or consulting organizations.
