Purchasing Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Purchasing to join our dynamic team in Bali. This role is crucial in managing the entire purchasing and procurement process for our restaurant, ensuring cost efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of food and beverage procurement, supplier management, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, particularly in Bali.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Purchasing & Procurement:

       Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.

       Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.

       Ensure timely procurement of food, beverages, kitchen equipment, and restaurant supplies.

Supplier Management:

       Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

       Monitor supplier performance, quality, and reliability.

       Evaluate and onboard new suppliers as needed.

Inventory & Cost Control:

       Oversee stock levels, storage conditions, and inventory turnover.

       Implement cost control measures and reduce waste without compromising quality.

       Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to forecast needs and plan orders effectively.

Compliance & Documentation:

       Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations.

       Maintain accurate records, including contracts, invoices, and purchase orders.

       Conduct regular audits of purchasing processes.

Team Leadership:

       Lead and mentor the purchasing team.

       Collaborate closely with the culinary, operations, and finance teams to support smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

       Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a purchasing role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.

       Strong network of local and international suppliers, especially for food and beverage products.

       Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

       Knowledge of local import/export regulations and customs is a plus.

       Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software.

       Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency is an advantage.

       High level of integrity and professionalism.
