Purchasing Manager

About the role

This role involves sourcing and managing suppliers, conducting product lifecycle management, and optimizing procurement processes to ensure the company acquires high-quality products at low cost while achieving mutual benefit. The position requires deployment to Southeast Asian countries for at least one year.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze market conditions through in-depth investigation and research to ensure the company obtains quality suppliers and products
• Identify and establish relationships with potential suppliers, understand their capabilities and product ranges, negotiate prices, and execute contracts
• Negotiate agreements to determine product delivery and payment terms, and collaborate on cooperation details and pricing with suppliers
• Manage products in coordination with product, research and development, and planning departments to conduct product development and lifecycle management
• Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers, ensure contract execution, monitor supplier performance on quality and delivery timelines, and conduct regular supplier evaluations
• Optimize and improve procurement processes to increase procurement efficiency and accuracy
• Understand market trends, raw materials and production processes, analyze and control procurement costs to maintain company profitability
• Complete other tasks assigned by the company and leadership

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above in procurement and supply management or related disciplines
• Fluent business English communication skills
• Experience in food-related procurement and development
• Manufacturing industry work background preferred
• Excellent commercial negotiation abilities
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Keen market insight capability
• Outstanding cost control ability
