What they need

Freedom Drains LLC is looking for a Purchasing Manager to oversee the ordering, sourcing, and availability of materials used in our plumbing and drain-service operations.

This role is for someone who can manage costs, build dependable supplier relationships, and keep purchasing organized in a busy service environment.

What you'll take ownership of

  • Purchase plumbing materials, drain-cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Work with technicians and service staff to anticipate upcoming material needs.
  • Request supplier quotes and compare pricing, quality, and delivery times.
  • Maintain relationships with plumbing supply houses and other vendors.
  • Track purchase orders, deliveries, backorders, and returns.
  • Monitor frequently used materials and coordinate replenishment.
  • Help control purchasing costs while maintaining reliable parts availability.
  • Identify alternative suppliers when materials are difficult to obtain.
  • Review invoices and resolve order discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
  • Coordinate equipment purchases and replacements when needed.
  • Improve purchasing procedures to reduce delays, waste, and unnecessary spending.

What we're looking for

We're interested in candidates with 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, construction materials, inventory management, or a related field.

Experience with plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical contracting, or building materials is preferred but not required.

You should be comfortable negotiating with suppliers, managing several orders at once, and working with spreadsheets, purchasing software, or inventory systems.

Previous experience overseeing purchasing activities or guiding other team members is preferred.

A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.

What matters in this role

We need someone who can think ahead.

You'll know which materials are used every day, which items require longer lead times, and when it's worth spending a little more to avoid a costly delay.

The goal is simple: keep materials available, purchasing accurate, and service work moving.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
